Mexico, 2007

Photography was my introduction to storytelling. I started shooting 35mm rolls of film during my first travels through Mexico and continued during my time as a student in New York.

I fell in love with street photography - specifically environmental portraits. Images that attempt to capture people in their element during a unique moment in time.

India, 2012

In 2012 I spent a month traveling through India. From Rajasthan to Karnataka these are some of the people and faces that crossed my path along the way.

I was particularly inspired by the color and contrasts in India. From calm and chaos to light and darkness.

Burning Man 2022

For fun in 2023 a group of friends and I submitted a proposal for an art installation as part of the Black Rock City Honoraria Program.

The art project - Galactic Plaza - inspired by ancient astronomy was an eight point star shaped pavilion and art installation functioning as a compass and map of the night sky.

This page aims to showcase a little bit of who I am beyond a brief. It is intended to give a glimpse into where I come from, what inspires me and what makes me tick.

The following is a selection of personal photography captured around the world over the last 18 years.

From my childhood in a small town in Mexico, to falling in love with street photography as a student in New York to traveling the world and settling down in Amsterdam, storytelling has always been my north star creatively.

Travel is one of the best ways to challenge perceptions and understand the world in a new way. I am inspired by the people I meet and places I explore around the world.

More recently I been drawn back to the nostalgia of film. There is something refreshing about letting go of control and embracing spontaneous imperfection.

The following are a series of portraits shot on an instant camera in Vietnam during 2019.

In 2022 my travels brought me to Senegal where I fell in love with the vibrant people and culture. From Dakar to St Louise and into the wilderness near the border with Guinea after the pandemic, it was refreshing to get off the beaten path and explore roads less traveled.

I have been attending Burning Man on and off since 2013. I can say without a doubt that the experiences I have had in Black Rock City have shaped who I am creatively, musically and personally.

The following is a series of polaroids I shot one sunrise in 2022.
